Festival Fashion 2015 | Boho Chic at its Best

Well fashion friends, spring 2015 has officially sprung and so we are moving into another exciting season of fashion. Spring time means a lot of things, but one of the most exciting is that it is officially the start of Festival Season!

Festival Season entails a wide range of shows and festivities among the most exciting being outdoor music concerts.

This obviously brings to mind what is the fashion code for such events? Obviously in most instances festivals mean warm to hot days followed by chilly evenings. So how does this relate to our inner spirit of fashion? Well this season we are all in luck, because as everyone knows Bohemian style is so hot right now that it is blistering.

So this Festival Season let your inner flower power child loose and enjoy the dress code of the original festival kings of the era of peace and love!

This festival season we like simple denim shorts paired with tanks and halters. Scarves are a must for us and can be tied at the waist and later draped across the shoulders in the chillier evening, should it be needed of course!

If you really want to go traditional pair a long flowing Boho skirt with a halter top or even a simple white tee. Plain white tees are all the rage this season as well. Find your favorite expression tee and pair it up with some jelly sandals and a geometrical skirt and you're set.

This season if for some reason your venue doesn't allow you to bring bags or other items to carry your evening covering, it may be wise to consider wrapping a sweater around your waist or consider a jacket or vest to accompany you…nothing worse than dancing the day away and freezing at night!

To complete the Boho Chic look we like simple Bohemian necklaces, bracelets and other adornments. Remember, if you want your clothes simple express your style with accessories!

Retro glasses are a big hit this season and we love the ‘John Lennon’ rounded glasses look. We are in love with the curves of classic 60’s and 70’s shades as well…think the top half of a giant heart covering your eyes!

As for the feet go in flip flops, flip flips, jellies or bare should you see fit. For a complete Boho chic ensemble we can only recommend a classic Cowboy style boot should the terrain and temperature call for it.
