Soooo…Spring and Summer 2015, we all have seen what was on the runways in the form of clothing and shoes (lots of sneakers with dresses this season)…but what about Fashion Accessories.
So now let’s talk fashion accessories. Accessories are anything that can adorn the body and enhance style, considering the outfit or not. We say that simply due to the fact that SUMMER is finally approaching…or so we hope! So as the outfits become smaller, defining yourself and sense of style with accessories becomes more imperative!
Let’s take a look at what’s hot and trending.
For starters, we all know that Bohemian is HOT right now, whether you call it Boho-Chic, Gypsy, Hippy or otherwise…there is no denying the huge impression that the Bohemian look and style had at all the top fashion design houses this year…and that included last season as well. Lots of flower power, leather / suede, fringe and many other things BOHO!
So be on the lookout for lots of beautiful Boho accessories to adorn your body. This summer we imagine lots of light shawls with floral or Aztec print at the beach with adornments of leather and waterproof metallic or even plastics in the form of jewelry.
Geometric shapes and almost ‘Picasso-esque’ type designs were ever prevalent. Going one step beyond we saw lots and lots and lots of mismatched gatherings. Not just in color but in style, shape, metallic tones and everything imaginable.
Especially in Europe we saw many designers that had square and short earrings on one ear and long ovals on the other (as a very simplified example of the magnificent mismatching that was taking place). This concept will definitely make observers take a second glance.
So this season, don’t be afraid to mix and match your jewelry and don’t be over concerned with matching metal, style or anything else involved!
One thing that is certain as well is that all the magnificent additions to the fashion jewelry world were overly in view as well. Arm Cuffs, Palm Cuffs, Midi-Rings and the likes to include Ring Bracelets and Ear Cuffs were present everywhere!

Chokers are back, but they should be big and fancy…
The handbag is back! Classic handbags of strong character made a return for the new season. Fashion seems to be taking a lesson from history and giving us back our mobile life supports and cutting back on the teeny tiny clutches and such. Get out and get you a huge fringed bag today! Of course the essentials are covered in the bags we saw and some still stay small. Favorites to keep a lookout for include postal style and shoulder bags that inculcate the Bohemian styles.
